SUMMARY:

The Bar at Moniker General is growing and in the process of adding a dinner/tapas Menu. The food being served has a heavy Spanish influence. This menu was designed by an executive chef along with the bar manager and we are looking for candidates with a deep desire to learn food, beverage and hospitality. You will be working along side the bartenders in an environment that hosts live music weekly and comedy shows monthly. This is a great opportunity for a motivated candidate who has a desire to enter the world of food and beverage and deepen their passion.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ experience kitchen/food experience
  • 1+ experience in Hospitality
  • High School Diploma
  • Deep Desire to Learn about food and be apart of a growing bar team
  • Available Tuesday-Saturday with a flexible schedule and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • 15-25 hrs per week 

DUTIES:

  • Prepares items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
  • Preparing ingredients for cooking, such as cutting meat or vegetables, and measuring out portions
  • Monitoring cooking times and temperatures to ensure quality
  • Completes and follows daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Tastes completed meals to ensure quality.
  • Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to handle kitchen equipment and work with hot surfaces
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
  • ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy. Follows HACCP guidelines.
  • Completes all required documentation, reports, logs as required.
  • Complies with state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
  • Prepare items requiring short preparation time.
  • Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
  • Completes orders from Turbo-chef, Toaster and serves customers at multiple stations.
  • Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
  • Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
  • Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy.Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
